This week, I wanted to take an opportunity to really talk about something important. This is something that I truly feel is not really brought up in conversation. And that is, being there for someone when they need you and how that can affect your relationship with God.
We are all emotional human beings, no one can deny that, right? So, with that being said, if your friend, or relative or someone you are close with, is asking you for some extra love and support, be that extra shoulder they can lean on. Because, when you are that extra shoulder or that one person everyone can count on for a conversation or just some support or advice, then ultimalety, you are echoing what god wants us to do for one another. And that is, sharing some sacrificial love and shining the light of hope, peace and joy, so we can all strive to be who God wants us to be as human beings on the earth he created for us.
God loves everyone and he wants us to be successful, and whithout us being there for one another, this can not be possible. When we take a step closer towards humanity, we are taking one step closer to God.
Many of us don't realize this, but we are made to be humanitarians and children to God. We must serve him and make him feel like he fulfilled his purpose in creating us all.
You know, I ask myself and I'm sure most of us ask the same questions numerous amounts of times, Why do I have a feeling of loneliness inside of me? How can I be the person God made me to be? Can I commit myself to loving myself, and others equally? Why does everything have to be a process?
Well, for most of those questions, the answers are simple, the only one who can control your actions and feelings are yourself. But, when you need help, there are plenty of resources there for you. I have learned that myself, I feel blessed and thankful that I have so many people that I value and trust with my thoughts and emotions. And that it is OK to ask for help!
So, my point is, make yourself available to others. I remember writing about this in one of my very first articles, helping someone can truly make you feel better about yourself and the person who benefited from your support. My friends and family know, I'm here for them and the feeling is mutual for when I need them too.
In the end, making someone's day brighter can help make your own day brighter as well. And let us hope and pray for those who need help that they get the love, strength and mercy of God, now and always!
Thanks be to God and may God bless you all!
