An E-commerce Opportunity

My work experience at a Health and Beauty e-commerce company.

13

I have been working from an e-commerce company for over two years. I remember the day I went in for the interview, it was a rainy day and I got lost with no umbrella. I wanted to reschedule because I looked terrible and wanted to make a good impression. The supervisor just assured me it was OK and to just come in for the interview. Then the supervisor, along with one of the partners, interviewed me in a small area of what was then the inventory room. They both asked questions and we had a conversation, I felt confident because I knew the products at hand and customer service very well. The supervisor gave me a brief tour of the warehouse, customer service office and inventory section. He then said he would let me know if I got hired and that he would give me a call. That is the worst feeling when leaving an interview; the uncertainty of not knowing if you did well. I didn't know what to expect.

A couple of days later, I received a call from the supervisor offering me the job and I was so excited! I had experience working in retail, e-commerce, customer service, import/export, international sales and a lot more, so I was ecstatic to apply these skills to my new job. It was a small office with only a handful of customer service reps but I felt comfortable and at home. I learned very quickly how to process returns, answer emails, chats, phone calls and make sales.

Within a year, the company moved to another location locally as they were growing at a rapid pace. Soon after, I noticed that the sales department was growing and I was intrigued by it. I shared my previous experience with the supervisor of that department and a few months later I was offered that position. Within a month, we grew so much that we needed a junior sales rep to assist us. After two months of having her on board, we needed another packer to assist us with the shipments and logistics. We now have three of us in the sales department and three packers assisting with the larger orders of the company.

Pharmapacks has only been in business for 6 years but they have grown to be a multi-billion dollar company. They use platforms like Amazon, Walmart, Jet, Overstock and many more to reach thousands of people across the country. They are constantly searching for new suppliers in order to offer the customers the best deals possible. By keeping low margins and negotiating prices, they are able to maintain the lowest prices.

For the best deals in your favorite go to brands you may go to www.pharmapacks.com.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
