You’re not really sure how you feel about them when they first make their way into your life. But, after getting used to them and seeing the effect that they have on men, they become your best friends. Keeping your girls comfortable and healthy is really important. You wouldn’t give your best friend an old hand-me-down for Christmas, would you?

For me, comfort has always equaled wearing a sports bra. They are light, comfortable, and don’t have that annoying underwire pushing into my underarm. Up until this past month, I have worn the same three bras for almost a year, and I came up with excuses not to wear the darn things. They were the only bras I owned that fit decently.

So, those lovely bras were a 36C, and they were definitely too small, but I have been uncomfortable with my size since middle school. I got so much crap from all of my friends because they were all so much smaller, and it made me really self-conscious.

I have also been losing weight, and when I gain or lose, it comes and goes from my boobs as well as everywhere else. I know what you’re probably thinking, “oh poor girl, what a terrible problem,” but have you seen the prices of bras?! I’m a poor college student who barely has money to spend on food. So, when my mom asks me to go get sized, so she can go get me some bras, I rushed over to the nearest store.

Turns out I have been wearing the wrong size for quite some time now. I put on the right size and it was like angels started to sing. Now, I barely wear those bras, unless I am actually working out. I feel like a completely new person, and let me say that the underwear that you get, really does effect your mood and confidence.

So here is my tip for the week: go get sized! Make sure you are in the right size, because it really does make a difference. Every girl, young adult, and woman deserves the feeling of a good bra. Now, I am not saying go and spend $200 on four different bras, you only need one good bra on those days you just need an extra umph in your life.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
