The world is no longer blurry
No longer swimming in a sea of intoxicants
But constantly fighting these overwhelming urges
Is my body
Caving in around me
Finally finding all of the lost
Pieces of the solution to a problem
Which began long ago
Without thought or any worry
Only bliss followed by a sobering fury
Which were beyond any of my control
The bliss was the addiction
The substance was the means
But it didn't matter what it was
Love is just as much a drug as anything
Sold on the street
The body count was building
And the unknown was clinging to the soul
Until finally it just had to shed
The tainted skin holding on to these vices
Once the toxins are drained
The voices she tried to keep at bay
Rang out into her mind
Taunting her
With what she must now leave behind
As she follows her revived soul
Down an uncovered window
To another strong but troubled mind
Of a once tainted soul similar to her own.
