Don't give into the senior slump

As seniors, we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but with that comes the senior slump. Going to class, turning in assignments and studying for tests just seem like way to much, we paid our dues and we are just waiting to get out of here. The senior slump sucks but it so important to remember this isn't high school anymore, our grades matter until they hand us that diploma. Not graduating because you failed a class your senior year would be a miserable way to end your college career, so I wanted to share some tips on finishing strong.

Get Motivated - Set long and short term goals for yourself. Your long term goal post-grad can be anything from getting a job to going to med school or grad school. Short term goals can work as mile stones that you can hit throughout the semester so you are on track.

Stay Healthy- Getting sick will definitely throw you off your game. Make sure you are eating right and sleeping. One all-nighter could throw off your entire body chemistry. You want to make sure that you are ready to go and full of energy.

Plan for the Future- After you get that degree you need to have a game plan and its best to get started sooner rather than later. If you still aren't sure what your next step is going to be, sit down with your adviser and make a plan for what your next steps are going to be post-grad.

Have Fun- This is your last year of college, make the most of it. Be with your friends, go have a ton of fun and make lasting memories. But just remember, everything in moderation!

Sorority

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
