College football season is one of the most exciting and fun times of the year. At the University of Colorado, football season is the best time of the year. Watching our buffs play at Folsom Stadium is always an incredible experience and we are all so excited for the rest of the season.

For a few years now, CU football has been gaining momentum and appear to be on the rise. In 2012, we were ranked number 118 out of 124 teams. Then, in 2013, we moved up to 89th out of 125 teams. Last year, we were ranked 99th out of 128 teams. This year, we have won our first two games and are looking better than we have in past seasons. Not to mention, we have beat CSU, but that was expected given that it sucks to be a CSU Ram.

College football at the University of Colorado acts as much more than a game. It brings people together. It creates a family and a community that revolves around a shared passion. It creates something bigger than any of us could have expected.

From beating CSU two years in a row to putting up an incredible fight against major schools like Oregon, CU football has created so many memories. As a school and a team, we have so much to be proud of. Being apart of such a great family is so rewarding and so fun. Game days create a certain atmosphere of anticipation and pride that circulate through the air all over campus. We win and we lose together but keep our heads up through all of it.

Here is to an amazing season to come for our football team and our school as a whole. Here is to the night games when the sky is on fire with vibrant colors as the sun sets behind the flat irons. Here is to chanting until we lose our voices and cheering until there is nothing left. Here is to beating CSU two years and counting. Here is to college football and the amazing atmosphere it creates at the University of Colorado Boulder. Here is to the tailgates and the after parties. Here is to the alumni and the future buffs that are drawn here for the love of their team and school. Here is to making football so much more than just a game. Here is to the family that revolves around football at the University of Colorado. We are all proud to be apart of something so incredible.

To My Loving Boyfriend,

  • Thank you for all that you do for me
  • Thank you for working through disagreements with me
  • Thank you for always supporting me
  • I appreciate you more than words can express
  • You have helped me grow and become a better person
  • I can't wait to see where life takes us next
  • I promise to cherish every moment with you
  • Thank you for being my best friend and confidante
  • I love you and everything you do

To start off, here's something I don't say nearly enough: thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You do so much for me that I can't even put into words how much I appreciate everything you do - and have done - for me over the course of our relationship so far. While every couple has their fair share of tiffs and disagreements, thank you for getting through all of them with me and making us a better couple at the other end. With any argument, we don't just throw in the towel and say we're done, but we work towards a solution that puts us in a greater place each day. Thank you for always working with me and never giving up on us.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.

Tamatoa created a liar filled with shiny things simply for the purpose of tricking fish to enter and become his food. He too experiences a lesson in how easy it is to be tricked by shiny things when Moana distracts him by covering herself in glowing algae so Maui can grab his hook.
