As my first month of college is coming to an end, I have realized it is much different than what I had expected. College comes with a lot of freedom, with a lot of freedom means making good decisions.
Of course you could go out every night and party, but would that really be making good decisions? An expectation people have with college is that there is endless time to have fun and hangout with friends, but in reality most of your time is spent in the library studying and doing homework.
Another expectation is skipping class and thinking everything will be fine the next class period, but missing one class feels like you are piled with work and can't catch up.
College is not how it is portrayed to be as in the movies as in the sense it's all fun and games not doing much work. Going to class and doing your work is crucial in college.
Although, at times when the work is done of course reward yourself by having some fun.
