Dear my beloved college best-friend,
This picture describes you perfectly:
It feels like I have known you my entire life, yet it's barely been a year. A friendship like ours is few and far between, and I want you to know I thank you and appreciate everything you do for me. In the beginning of September 2015, Caldwell University started class and we first crossed paths in our Roots to the West class. Needless to say, after we had our first conversation we both knew this was a friendship nothing could ever ruin. That class was one hell of a class, too. You and I walking in late and the professor being disappointed we weren’t late 'cause of Dunkin’ -- we just way overslept from the wild night before. And every time you went to get up, you tripped on me or my bag? LOL. How many times did that guy comment on my cup of coffee or tell us we were talking to much?
Since the day we met, our friendship has only grown and the bond has strengthened. You know me almost as well as someone who has been my friend for 13 years. It’s amazing, isn’t it? From our study dates, to Starbucks dates and your obsession with their Strawberry Acai Refreshers, to going to concerts, and us calling each other for best-friend advice, this is a friendship that will never die. You're the only one who would go to see Fetty Wap with me, or as Grammy would say " Johnny Waaaackk." Lol
You have supported me in the last year when I needed it. You have told me I f*cked up when I needed to hear it. You have been nothing but honest with me, and I thank you for the love, care, support and tough love.
Remember that time out on the bleachers with The Motto? LOL. Or the time we were hysterically laughing in the hallway to the point of almost peeing ourselves, and “I needed it?” LMFAO. Or when me being me completely wiped out in the lounge upstairs and your roommate was in the closet and all four of us couldn’t contain our laughter. Again we almost peed ourselves. That tends to happen quite frequently when it comes to the two of us. These are memories I am going to cherish for the rest of my life.
I cannot wait to see what sophomore year has in store for the two of us. Maybe holiday parties will treat us better this year? I know it’s going to be one wild ass ride, but we have each other to keep the other in check. College best friend, I thank you for being my best friend.
Love,
Kristal
