Ten Things I Miss About College Now That I'm Home For Break
  1. Without a roommate, my bedroom is a cold, lonely place to be avoided
  2. There’s no more walking across the hall when I'm bored… or hungry.
  3. Now I have to drive. Everywhere.
  4. That suggested curfew is as painful as it ever was.
  5. I've started to remember all the little things that drive me crazy about my family.
  6. Actually having to make plans is a pain in the butt.
  7. Unlike at home, I could always count on the dining hall to have a brownie for my weekly craving.
  8. Did I mention missing my roommate?
  9. In college I don’t have to announce when I'm coming and going, I'd just leave.
  10. Actually having something to do at all times. Home equals eat, sleep, Netflix.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
