College, As Told By George Costanza

The jerk store called, and they're running out of professors.

College, As Told By George Costanza

George Costanza has worked his way into popular culture as a television legend, even landing him is own George-themed bar in Australia. One of the reasons George is so popular is because he's so relatable, especially to a typical college student. George just wants to drape himself in comfortable clothes; he's cheap, deprecating, and can somehow fake his way through life until he stumbles on success ("Is anyone here a marine biologist?"). Let's face it, George must have done really well in college. Here's your college life, according to our favorite architect.

1. When someone asks you what your extracurriculars are.

2. Your GPA attempts to remind you where you stand.

3. And this is your comeback when your professor rips apart one of your essays.

4. You're still trying to figure out what you want to do with your life. All you want is to wear comfortable clothes to class.

5. You can't let your friends distract you in the dining hall.

6. When you convince your roommates to go out with you on a Wednesday and they have a great time.

7. You finally think that you're going to get a break from work and then you keep getting more assignments.

8. And forcing yourself to stay in on a Friday night to do laundry and homework and all of your friends are out having fun.

9. Giving your roommate crap when they keep asking for the room for them and their significant other.

10. When your professor decides to curve the exam grades.

11. Trying to relate to high schoolers and realizing that you're old.

12. When you wear headphones in the library to avoid talking to people.

13. You and your roommate posing for that perfect Instagram post.

14. Not doing the reading for class but pretending like you know what you're talking about.

15. Trying to find an internship with virtually no experience.

16. Your schedule is packed.

17. When you refuse to read the group message.

18. And struggling to pay for all of your Christmas presents.

19. Thinking that you're literally not going to make it through these four years, especially when finals come around.

20. But despite everything, college is your moment. Live it.

21. Just don't live it too hard.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
