We all have an inner Nick.

College is not always easy. It is stressful, tiredsome, and you seem to always find yourself in a position that is stressful and makes you want to cry. You pull all nighters, you never seem to know what to do with yourself, and somehow you always end up on Netflix. Things seem to happen over and over again though we can relate to "New Girl" for those of us in college.

Finals week! You are an emotional wreck who just wants to eat.

Most can relate to Jess when it comes to finals week. We are so exhausted from the late night studying, the tears, the pain, and wanting to mentally wanting to kill someone that even tries to talk to you. Though there is a soft spot for food to comfort you trough the week.

Having to share the community bathroom with others.

Sometimes you use the community bathroom and it can get a little crowded at times. You never actually know if the water will get hot in the shower or if the stalls are going to be full. Sometimes you never know who you are going to see in the bathroom or if your going to get lucky to get in and out, or if it will be crowded with a bunch of people. There are times where you feel as though it is absolutely gross because there are so many people use it. Either way, you survive another year of using it, either by choice, or the fact that you can't afford your own bathroom.

Though if in doubt, we spend money on food, because that's where our money goes to anyways.

Either which way, we are typically buying food. If we are stressed, we go for food. If we want to go out, we go get food. It is a never ending cycle of telling ourselves that we need to stop spending money on food, but we go out and get some anyways. Especially Taco Bell, the best friend of a college student.

Sometimes we question if we are watching Netflix to long.

If your anything like Nick, you have come to the acceptance that watching Netflix all day is alright. It is part of your week schedule. Sometimes it is almost a daily schedule. You realize that you just do not need to do responsbilites that day, because of Netflix. Right? Than as the day waste you away, you just watch it stress-fully.

College teaches you how to avoid laundry as much as possibly and I am not even kidding on this one.

I don't know about anybody else, but Nick is my spirt animal for this. I try to avoid laundry as long as possibly if I can. Sometimes I even feel as though it has been five months before I do laundry again. If I can go home and do free laundry I will do so. Laundry is so expensive at school. There is no way I am going to try to do it more often if I don't have to.

I feel like New Girl can relate to us on so many levels. Mostly Nick. Nick is like the spirt animal we never had. He is inside us all when it comes to how college feels. We somehow come through it all though and at the end of it all, it was totally worth it. Really, graduation is fast approaching and once it gets here, we will miss it all. Until then, I shall be here, watching my shows on Netflix.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
