10 Times Chandler Bing Nailed College Life

Chandler Bing Always knows just the right thing to say at the right time. All of his famous quotes explain how every person feels throughout their college experience.

1. Meeting new people on move-in day

The small talk you are forced to make when you first got to college is excruciating. It mostly consists of asking "where are you from?", "where are you living", and "what's your major?. Eventually, you both get uncomfortable and the only way to break the silence is by cracking a dumb joke.

2. When you show up to your 8 a.m. after a night out

If you get unfortunate enough to have an 8 am on Friday's, there is no way you will be functional in class. Working off of maybe 4 hours of sleep does not give you enough energy to think before you speak.

3. Your professor doesn't stop rambling on about their life

We all know a professor that uses their class to tell you about their personal life. Most of the class is them telling you about their kids or something that recently happened to him that no one cares about.

4. Not having a date for formal

Finding a formal date may be difficult but this does not mean that you will end up alone in life. Who you take to formal is not that big of a deal.

5. Entering finals week

It may have been a few days since you have checked what you look like in the mirror. You get to the point where you are no longer stressed, you have just accepted the fact that finals suck.

6. When "your balance is less than the $50 amount in your alert settings"

There is no worse feeling than seeing that your debit card is running low. At this point, you are sticking to your dining plan and need to cut yourself off of everything else.

7. You get a little homesick

At some point in the semester, there is nothing you want more than your house at home. After sleeping in uncomfortable twin XL beds, with no TV, and staying up every night home sounds pretty nice.

8. When people try to convince you that their school is better

People always compete to prove to you that their college is better than yours but it never works. There is no college suited better for you than the one that you are at.

9. When your friends get awful spray tans

10. When you see Snapchat stories of people at home eating at your favorite restaurants

Hands-down the hardest part about college is missing the amazing food at home.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
