Wow all of this music is way more relevant than I thought it would be 15 years later.

If you're like me, then you're in the part of the semester where you'd rather do anything than homework or study.

Growing up primarily in the 2000s, I know some insanely good music. At the time I learned it, I was a little kid so I couldn't relate to the content but loved the vibe. So I thought it would be fun to reminisce on some phenomenal music that I can definitely relate to now.

Without further ado, here are college thoughts as told by the 2000's top music.

1. We The Kings- All Again For You

"I couldn't sleep last night,

I walked alone,

On the beach where we always used to go,

When we couldn't hook up at home"

2. Miley Cyrus- Breakout

"Every week's the same,

Stuck in school's so lame,

My parents say that I'm lazy,

Waking up at 8 AM is crazy

3. Zetta Bytes- Notice Me

"If I cut my hair If I change my clothes,

Will you notice me.

If I bite my lips If I say hello,

Will you notice me"

4. Green Day- Boulevard of Broken Dreams

"I walk a lonely road,

The only one that I have ever known,

Don't know where it goes,

But it's home to me and I walk alone"

5. Jonas Brothers- I Am What I Am

"I am what I am,

And nobody else,

And if you've got a problem,

Better take it somewhere else"

6. Daft Punk- Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger

"Work it harder, Make it better

Do it faster, Makes us stronger

More than ever, Hour after hour

Work is never over

7. David Cook- The Time of My Life

"To be more than a name,

Or a face in the crowd,

You know this is the time,

This is the time of my life"

8. Blink 182- First Date

"When you smile I melt inside,

I'm not worthy of a minute of your time,

I really wish it was only me and you,

I'm jealous of everybody in the room"

9. Adam Lambert- Whatdya Want From Me

"Just don't give up,

I'm working it out,

Please don't give in,

I won't let you down"

10. Simple Plan- Perfect

"Hey Dad look at me,

Think back and talk to me,

Did I grow up according to the plan?

And do you think I'm wasting my time doing thing I wanna do?"

11. Hillary Duff- Wake Up

"There's people talking,

They talk about me,

They know my name,

They think they know everything"

12. Asher Roth- I Love College

"I wanna go to college for the rest of my life,

Sip Bankers Club and drink Miller Lite,

On Thirsty Thursday and Tuesday Night Ice,

And I can get pizza a dollar a slice"

*Honorable Mentions*

These didn't quite make the cut but are totally worth reminiscing over.

- American Idiot by Green Day

- Self Esteem by The Offspring (Actually a '90s song)

- Basket Case by Green Day

- Pretty Fly by The Offspring

I love my good 'ol 2000's playlists and thoroughly enjoyed making this list. If I can give you any take-aways from this experience, it's that you should go listen to some Green Day because it's probably more relevant than you remember.

The 5 Painfully True Stages Of Camping Out At The Library

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

StableDiffusion

As this semester wraps up, students can’t help but be stressed about finals. After all, our GPAs depends on these grades! What student isn’t worrying about their finals right now? It’s “goodbye social life, hello library” time from now until the end of finals week.

1. Finals are weeks away, I’m sure I’ll be ready for them when they come.
