17 College Student's Weekly Thoughts

We're all basically thinking the same thing throughout the week.

17 College Student's Weekly Thoughts

Throughout the week, there are typically a few things that run through every college student's mind.

"How is it already Monday?"

Because let's be real, the weekdays drag on and the weekends happen in the blink of an eye.

"If I skip breakfast I can sleep for an extra ten minutes."

Yeah, it's the most important meal of the day, but more sleep is way better.

"It's only Tuesday..."

SERIOUSLY THE WEEK DRAGS ON.

"Can I skip the same class that I skipped last week or is that too obvious?"

Definitely make sure you have a schedule for what classes you can skip and when.

"When can I take a nap?"

Never, and I mean never miss a napping opportunity.

"How much do you think $5 could buy me at Taco Bell?"

A lot, so go and feast my friend!

"To dress up or wear a T-shirt and norts."

Let's be real...norts and T-shirts.

"If I fail this test will it really affect my grade that badly?"

Let's just make everyone feel better and say naaahhh.

"If I throw myself down the stairs and break a couple of bones, how much school work could I get out of?"

Honestly, though, everyone probably thinks this one daily.

"I hate everyone."

There's just a certain part of the week where everyone hits this point.

"I'm dropping out of school."

This thought probably happens on Wednesday where the end of the week just seems so far away.

"PRAISE THE LORD TOMORROW IS FRIDAY"

Because we live for Fridays

"IT IS FRIDAY"

There IS a light at the end of the tunnel.

"Saturdays are a gift from the good Lord above."

Because they 100% are.

"Tomorrow is Monday...kill me."

The worst thing about Sunday, realizing tomorrow is Monday.

"I don't know if I can make it through another week."

Just keep swimming.

"How is it already Monday?"

And we're back.

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
