College Student Trips And Almost Falls Down On Her Face

Are distracted students or loose bricks to blame?

College Student Trips And Almost Falls Down On Her Face

THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA GREENSBORO —

A local college girl trips and almost falls down on Thursday, October at approximately 10:56 AM. The incident reportedly occurred on the busy College Ave, right out in front of the Walter Clinton Jackson Library. Apparently, there was a loose brick that the inattentive student tripped on. Fortunately, she only skipped a few feet, but however, did not fall down and hurt herself.

"I can't believe I almost fell on my face right in front of our school's founder's statue!", the clumsy college kid - who wished to remain anonymous - exclaimed when asked about the event. "I was actually on my way to the library to study for my midterm and I wanted to a good seat on one of the quiet floors, so I was in a hurry!" The nerd continued on, "After that happened, I played it off cool - I think nobody noticed but I think I heard a chuckle from behind me. I don't want to be known as that loser who fell in front of the library."

We caught up with a few witnesses who were there at the time of the accident.

"Oh, I saw that right when I was coming out of the library in the distance. I've seen that happen so many times - I really think something should be done about the loose brick before someone busts their face open." A professor explained. "It's also concerning because we have wheelchair users on campus, so it makes for a bumpy ride."

"Yeah, I almost saw her trip - and I laughed. It would've been funnier if she actually fell and landed on her face." After everyone cringed at her comment, the local college sleaze blurted out defensively, "What? It serves her right for being clumsy and not paying attention!"

"Huh, she did? I didn't even notice." A disinterested student monotonously told us. "Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to have a mental breakdown - I don't know what's going on with my life right now" They continued, awkwardly oversharing with us.

Since the time of the incident, there have been reportedly been three other students who have tripped on the loose bricks on campus- one of whom has actually scraped his knee. While scraped knees are on the rise, there has been a small Instagram page set up dedicated for UNCG students to anonymously share stories of how they tripped - or almost tripped - on loose bricks. They've even started to hashtags #NoMoreLooseBricks & #ScrappedKneeAtUNCG.

However, some Spartans claim that "If they pay attention to their surroundings, they wouldn't be tripping over loose bricks." A former student who graduated last December posted on social media; "I've never once tripped over a loose brick in all my years of studying at UNCG! Why is everyone making such a big deal about this?"

"While I do believe more students should be aware of their surroundings, I also think that the amount of loose bricks on campus is too much." A student, who can't make up her mind on the issue, told us.

The issue continues on, who is to blame - the stubborn loose bricks on campus or the self-centered students?

College is a crazy, beautiful, amazing whirlwind. It is highly popularized in television and movies, but not necessarily in the most accurate way. Yes, there's frats, dingy dorms, raging house parties—but there's also a lot that people fail to mention.

1. If you thought that you knew how to study, you're wrong.

All of your classes aren't taught every day, so professors aren't on your case constantly about reading and memorizing material. Once you get back that "questionable" first exam grade, you'll kick it into high gear and figure out what works for you

Girl With Bleached Hair
Tumblr

I've been a bleach blonde for over a year now, and let me tell you, it is a lifestyle. More hair appointments, longer showers, and special shampoo. But it is totally worth it!

1. Mentally preparing yourself to convince your hair dresser that white is the way to go.

2. Or the anxiety of what could go wrong by bleaching your hair at home.

3. You could either become a ginger

4. Or a pixie

5. The face you make in the mirror when you take off your towel to unveil the perfect white strands.

6. Taking a million selfies the day you bleached it, because you know your roots will be back in literally 2 days.

7. Having to get bangs or a big chop because your hair is so damaged.

8. Having orange highlights in between touch-ups.

9. Going out for a drink afterwards to debut your updated look.

Despite the struggles, you love your platinum blonde hair! You make sure Instagram knows it, too. You don't need a filter, because the color is flawless by itself!

I've been at this college thing for almost three and a half years, and while I thought that high school was truly the lowest point of my existence, I'm beginning to realize that it was a walk in the park. Like, I miss the days when the biggest white lie I told my parents was my made up excuse about being late for fourth period. These days, the white lies are a tad more complex, and as ashamed as I am to admit it, I've definitely told a few of these.
