It’s that time of the semester. Everything that could possibly go wrong has gone wrong. Your world is crumbling into pieces and you feel like you have hit rock bottom. There is that parking ticket you got last week, you just found out that someone from home passed away, you have to work 20 hours this week, oh, and do not forget about those finals that are coming up.
The best part is that all of this is happening on top of everything else that is going on. You may think that you are alone and you may wonder why this is happening to you. You will feel like giving up or kicking the bucket.
If you are this person, you need to remember these three things; you are stronger than you think, things happen for a reason, and you are definitely not alone.
You have managed to get this far in life, so you obviously have what it takes to get through this rough patch. Your experiences will only make you a stronger person. You just need to remember that it will get better. Keep your mind on the prize and you will realize that all the hard stuff that is happening now is going to be worth it in the end. So far, you are surviving college; give yourself a pat on the back and keep going strong.
The term “everything happens for a reason” should be tattooed on every college student, because it could not be truer. Don’t worry about not getting that job that you applied for or the perfect score on a test. If you gave your best, that’s all that matters. If it wasn’t meant for you now, that just means something else is waiting for you later, and that something else is bigger and better.
It is easy to think that you are alone, but trust me, you are far from it. There are thousands of college students going through the exact same thing, it’s just a part of life. Lean on your friends for support, that’s what they are there for. They are the only people who know exactly what you are going through, and they will be able to understand you better than anyone else can.
College is hard, man. These four years that we spend here are brutal, but they are crucial for determining the next phases of our lives. All we have to do is get through it.
I promise, everything will be fine, and you will be okay.
