Welcome to part 2 in my "Live Christian" series. If you didn't know, part 1 is called "I Use My Faith In Everyday Life, I Stay Kind" Love no matter what. This one didn't come naturally at first. I wasn't just walking through the grocery store thinking "wow I love everyone in here!" I practice loving everyone by showing them, love. It goes hand in hand with being kind to everyone around me.

God's love for us is unconditionally given to everyone. In the same way God shows us, love, I want to show that love to everyone around me. When I meet people, I want to do my best to convey that Jesus loves them no matter what. I know that sounds cheesy but when you look at the world today there just isn't enough love. Everyone is fighting about one thing or another and there's a negative cloud over everything. It's so frustrating because everything positive gets overshadowed. Even the positive pop songs about being happy are shallow and don't have any impact besides the way it makes you feel for .5 seconds. Because of this, coming across a person who is loving and kind is such a refreshing experience. The world needs more of that. I hear the call of action and try my best to make the world a better place one loving act at a time.

I know this seems like a great idea written down but it can be very challenging. We all have grumpy days and hangry moments and even though it's hard we must try to be kind and loving even in these moments. Jerimiah 31:3 says

"I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness"

In this verse, we see that God loves us with an everlasting love that isn't comparable to anything on this earth. Because His love is so passionate, He drew us into existence with unfailing kindness that flows through us. It's our job to show this kindness to everyone around us. It's so much more than "spreading good vibes". It's opening up your heart and showing everyone around you the unending love you have.

It can be hard to find the line between showing everyone God's love and shoving religion down everyone's throats. Sometimes to show His love you don't even have to bring Him up at all. Just love and be kind and it will get you far. Thank you so much for tuning in, have a great day, and remember that you can help change the world!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
