Out of the millions of apps out there, these are the ones that you will find on every college student's phone.

The 5 Apps That Every College Student Has

Teenagers and college students seem to spend so much time on their phones. So, what are we doing? I've compiled a list of apps that we are probably on if we are on our phone.

The Dating App

Tinder, Bumble, OkCupid, Hinge... the list goes on. Although I've never downloaded a dating app, I know that it's a popular way to meet new people and develop a love life in college.

The Music App

If you think about the typical college student, you probably imagine them with AirPods in, beats on their head, or maybe even good old fashioned earphones in. When walking fro class to class, chilling in their dorm, or working out at the gym, the college student is almost always listening to music. Some music apps are Spotify, Apple Music, and Pandora.

Venmo

I came to college without the Venmo app and within a week I realized that it is basically a necessity here. It's just so easy to pay people back quickly and exactly the right amount with Venmo.

The Game App

I feel like everyone has at least one game app on their phone. When you're really bored and have nothing to do, a game on your phone will surely pass the time. Also, when you don't have service, a gaming app is one of the only apps that will actually work.

The Social Media App

Snapchat, Youtube, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, and Pinterest are just a couple of examples of the many social media apps that exist today. I would guess that the average college student spends hours on social media everyday.... I know that I do. And I am quite ashamed to admit that.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
