America Cannot Achieve Unity When The Leftists Influencing The Media Have No Clue What Is Truly Going On

The people with the most apathy have the loudest voice in today's media.

America Cannot Achieve Unity When The Leftists Influencing The Media Have No Clue What Is Truly Going On

Why is it that informed voices are getting drowned out by a generation of apathetic students?

College students all across the country are so willing to accept everyone, except when it comes to those who support President Trump and the right-wing politics.

As a Republican political science major on a college campus, I have to have many facts to back up my beliefs. However, any other college student can disagree with President Trump and never be questioned for their opinion or asked to provide factual reasoning. Why is this? These same people protest in support of various liberal causes: March for Our Lives, Women's March on Washington, March for Life. Do they even know what the law says about gun control? Or about the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act?

Campus Reform reporter Cabot Phillips captures the ignorance of the average American college student throughout various videos and news clips.

In the most recent video, Phillips asked college students at New York University their opinion about President Trump's Supreme Court Justice nomination. At the time of this video, Judge Brett Kavanaugh had not been nominated for this honor. Fox News' Fox and Friends hosted Cabot Phillips to discuss this video.

Another video posted on Campus Reform questions students about President Trump's State of the Union address. Student after student attacked the president and his remarks. However, the video was recorded one week prior to the address!

Another video shows college students reacting to President Trump sending troops to the Mexican border. The students were then told that President Obama did the same thing. Most of the students in the videos were clueless and supported President Obama, but gave reasons why they disagree with President Trump doing the exact same thing.

According to census.gov, in the 2016 election, the percent of people ages 18-29 that voted was 46.1%. The number of voters age 65 and older was 70.9%.

Yet somehow these college students, who are clearly ignorant, misinformed, and apathetic, are controlling the media. Complaining about families being separated at the border, gun control, and every single thing President Trump does. How can the left back this agenda when their ignorance has been proven time and time again? How can the left shut out veteran's voices and hard working adults with life experience in exchange for college students?

I am in no way saying that college students should not have a voice in government, because they definitely should! I am very thankful for the freedom to express my opinions. However, young adults should have facts to back up their beliefs before they make harsh comments degrading President Trump and the Republican Party.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
