Yes, believe or not, college snow days are a thing! It's the best thing to find out when you have an 8 am class or a test that you weren't completely prepared for. Now you get extra sleep, extra time to study, and extra time to relax. It's a fantastic day in every college students life. Waking up to that email saying classes are cancelled is the greatest thing ever. And the looking outside to see the field of white snow is the other greatest pert of the day. It makes us feel like children again. Take us back to waking up hearing the school was cancelled and you got the whole day to hangout with all your friends. It leaves you with so many different possibilities for the day.

1) Photoshoot

When you're bored and have nothing else to do, go do a photoshoot with your friends in the fresh new snow. Sure it might get cold but it'll be great way to get Instagram posts and memories with your friends. It's also a great way to go exploring your campus and seeing new things. It's so much fun to just run around and act insane with your friends.

2) Movie Night

Now who doesn't love a movie night? Especially a movie night with friends and hot coco. It's a great way to get warm. To just sit under blankets and be cozy and drink the warm hot coco, it's a great way to relax and not worry about school for one day. And you can watch as many movies as you want to. You could watch disney movies, or action movies, or romance movies. You can watch all of them if you really want to. The possibilities for movie night are endless. Especially if you need to warm up after being outside.

3) Sledding!!

Time to steal the cafeteria trays and hit the closest hill on campus! This is an unspoken rule across all campus' when snow has graced our campus. As college students, we don't really think to bring sleds to school as a necessity. That's why we use makeshift sleds. Some of us use trays, some freeze towels and use those, and then others use container tops. It's a great way to go back into our childhood and feel the nostalgia of sledding.

4) Cooking Party

This is a great excuse to break out the cooking manual and make some great stuff. Now you can divulge in so much food. It's nice to eat everything on a lazy snow day, especially if you and your friends made it yourself.

Snow days are the greatest part of school in the winter time. You can do anything and everything on snow days. It's the greatest part of living in the north and have the ability of snow falling from the sky. Snow days are everyones favorite days to have.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows.
