8 Best College Movies Of All Time

Before you come to college you think of it as sex, drugs and fraternities. But everything you really learned about college was from movies. Those weird, crazy, romantic movies that were how you wished college would be like. However, college may not always be like the movies, but you can make it that way by just making every day in college count. Of course class comes first, but you are only here once, so live it up like the movies do. Here are some of the greatest college movies of all times.

1. "American Pie" Series

This is by far my favorite of them all. It is about how awkward sex and life is when you are young. If you saw this movie a long time ago, you would not be able to appreciate it until you have been through those awkward ages or are still going through them. "American Pie" includes "Beta House," "Book of Love" and more.

2. National Lampoon's "Animal House"

An all time classic college movie since 1978. It is about joining the rowdy fraternity of Delta Tau Chi and these guys experience in it. The journey includes girls, togas, parades and more that one has to watch to understand. This decade was so much different than ours.

3. "Revenge of the Nerds"

The sporty guys cant get everything. These fraternity nerds have no house anymore and are stuck with nowhere to live. They need to unite together and get revenge on all those who have done them wrong. See what they do in "Revenge of the Nerds."

4. "Road Trip" Series

This movie is now on Netflix. It is about four college student who get into a crazy situation, making them have to take a road trip in order to fix it. During this road trip things always go wrong and get insane. These movies make you want to take road trips with your best pals and stop worrying about your girlfriends at home.

5. "Old School"

What happens when a bunch of old guys decide to recapture their glory days by starting a fraternity? Well streaking down the quad is one of them. It gets crazy with Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn, Luke Wilson and more reliving their college days. It will make you never want to bring your parents to visit.

6. National Lampoon's "Van Wilder"

The big man on campus that all the guys want to be friends with and all the girls want. He thinks he is the best and that he can charm any girl. But there is always that one girl that he just can't have, but always really wants. Do you think he gets the girl or not? Watch this college classic that you are sure to love.

7. "22 Jump Street"

Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill are back at it again and are now undercover in college. The parties, the frats and the people are so much crazier to navigate. It is a really good representation of what college life is really like.

8. "How High"

What happens when pot heads magically ace their college exams and wind up at Harvard? They have to learn the ways of an Ivy League and how to keep the grade. It teaches you that college is really for everyone and if you try real hard anyone can really succeed.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
