Finals are upon us which means it's time to start thinking of our post-finals celebration. If you love to watch movies with your friends, this may the perfect time to start a college-themed movie marathon. There is no shortage of movies about college life, graduate school, and even reunions. Whether you're graduating soon or just ready for the summer, you'll want to watch these classics.

What better way to celebrate the year then with a feel-good movie that will definitely get a laugh out of you and your friends? You don't have to be an acapella professional to appreciate the importance of college friendships and events.

Legally Blonde

Legally Blonde is a true staple of any movie marathon. You'll go through all the feels as you watch Elle graduate college and navigate the uncertainties of law school.

Life of the Party

Here is a nice comedy to add to your marathon. I personally have not seen this movie, but it's definitely on my to-watch list. It seems perfect for this collection because it features a mom navigating the highs and lows of campus life after she decides to go back to school.

The Social Network

Here's a different kind of college movie that focuses more on life post-college. Even so, this biographical film portrays both college life as well as career events in the characters' lives.

Who's going to say no to this absolute college classic? Just because its a kids movie doesn't mean it's not perfect for this college-themed marathon.

For the sports enthusiasts out there, this is the perfect movie to add to your watch list. It's a feel-good inspirational movie about an aspiring college athlete that I think anyone can enjoy.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way.
