College life is kind of nuts: bad hookups, 30-page papers, ragers at 10 am on a Sunday. Though it's no NYC living, college has its many moments. Here are some of the best and worst, as illustrated by the crew of "Friends."

1. The One With the Laundry Day:

The quintessential, "I have nothing else to wear and probably won't leave this building today" look.

2. The One With the Formal:

Chugging that mixed drink during your 2-hour bar reservation to make the most of that $20 cover is the epitome of formal SZN.

3. The One With the Spring Break Vacation:

Long gone are the days of family vacations. College is a time for friends to chip in together and spend all of their money on a boozy week that you probably won't be telling your parents--let alone anyone--about.

4. The One With the One Night Stand:

It happens. And the next day...

5. The One With the Walk of Shame:

Whether too small or too large, that outfit you're wearing Sunday morning at 6 am across campus? Definitely not yours.

6. The One With the Halloween Party:

Some people go all-out, some people took five minutes to throw something together, but one thing is for sure: nothing is scarier on Halloween than a college party.

7. The One Where You Go Home for Winter Break:

Bubble baths, homemade food, cozy fireplaces, galore!

8. The One With the Intramural Sports Team:

So you ~may~ have peaked athletically in high school, but you can still show those classmates what you've got on the ultimate frisbee field (which is, admittedly, not a lot).

9. The One With the Liberal Arts Hipster Dude:

There's one in every philosophy class. This round-rimmed, flannel, and graphic tee wearing stud will both make you misunderstand Plato and break you in the process.

10. The One With the Difficult Reading Assignment:

300 pages about the evolution of the modern prison system? No thank you, sir.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
