Being a college student comes with a lot of responsibilities. Often times the more personal responsibilities are overshadowed by the amount of academic responsibilities we have to do as well. That being said, sometimes eating well is the first thing to go. Here is a list of healthy, fast and yummy meals to get you through those tough weeks where you “just don’t have time to eat!”
1. Chicken Quesadilla
Consists of Tyson grilled chicken strips, shredded cheese and tortillas. A cheap and quick classic that is still nutritious.
2. Bacon and Eggs
An easy and delicious meal for any time of day. Just cook some eggs and microwave some bacon and you’re good to go!
3. Macaroni and Cheese
If you are super desperate you can totally use the 99 cent boxes, but I have found it is way more tasty if you cook your own noodles, add some milk and melt some sharp cheddar cheese in the pot.
4. Cowboy Spaghetti
A classic boys specialty. Just boil some spaghetti and add a can of baked beans for a dirt cheap and rather large meal.
5. Toasted PB&J
Toasting the bread adds a little spin on the classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
6. Avocado Toast
This one is easy, quick and full of healthy fats. Just grab an avocado and toast your fav kind of bread for a nutritious meal you can eat on the go.
7. Tuna
I may be biased towards this one, but a can of tuna goes a long way. It is also super quick and if you mix it with mayonnaise or olive oil and vinegar, it is quite the meal.
8. Apples and Peanut Butter with Sharp Cheese and Lunchmeat
This one is a classic in our house. If you are wanting something a little lighter, just create a little plate of your favorite snacks.
9. Oatmeal
Add some peanut butter, honey, brown sugar or chocolate chips for a sweet taste.
10. Angel Hair Pasta with Meat Sauce
This one may take a little longer to make, but once it’s made it can be stored and reheated for at least week. Instant meal every night.
Hopefully you now have some ideas for meals to eat throughout your rough weeks of school. It really is important to eat well during the week in order to preform well in school. So, I hope you are now inspired to cook up some simple yet nutritious meals.
