Move-in day is less than a month away so it means it's time to start thinking about that major of yours again. Whether you've known what you wanted to do since you were a kid or you've already changed your major 12 times in a year, there's something out there for everyone. And even better, there's a dog out there for everyone. Here's the college majors as dog breeds!

1. Business - Labs

Labrador Retrievers are bred to be friendly and useful. Like labs, business majors must be able to make as many friends and connections as they can to get their job done. Both labs and business majors are quick learners that love to be surrounded by people!

2. Science - Dalmatians

Dalmatians are a scientific dream - did you know that they're actually born white and don't get spots until over a week after they're born? Even then, no two dalmatians spots are the same. Like Dalmatians, science majors are unique and highly intelligent. While science majors may think of themselves as walking, tired zombies, they're actually highly energetic like Dalmatians due to the excessive amounts of coffee they drink!

3. Education - Golden Retrievers

Like teachers, Golden Retrievers are basically the foundation of the world. They're known as the most affectionate and lovable breed, much like education majors. Retrievers are typically patient, which will come in handy for those elementary education majors!

4. Diplomacy - Huskies

Huskies have a thick coat and love to run. Like diplo majors, huskies love to be on the go. They also heir from Siberia, which, if you didn't know, is in Russia. All in all, huskies are an adaptable breed that loves to explore - and so are diplo majors!

5. Theater - Pugs

Pugs are very adaptable, affectionate, and deal well with other dogs. Likewise, theater majors have to be able to switch from role to role and work well with others. Pugs are famously described as "a lot of dog in a small space" which is true of actors as well - they have to portray big emotions in a limited stage space!

6. Journalism - Beagles

Beagles make amazing companions, but can be relatively stubborn at times. Much like Beagles, journalists tend to be stubborn - when it comes to unveiling the truth! Beagles have a very strong nose, much like journalists when trying to find a juicy story.

7. Criminal Justice - German Shepherd

Used by many police forces, German Shepherds are intelligent, quick, and useful. Criminal Justice majors have a drive to help others and are extremely compassionate. These two have a lot in common, especially in courage!

8. Law - Great Dane

Like lawyers, Great Danes demand to be seen and heard. Commonly referred to as gentle giants, Great Danes are large but loving and loyal - much like lawyers that will fiercely defend their clients are appear intimidating, but have huge hearts underneath!

9. Nursing - Yorkshire Terrier

Probably the most famous lap dog, Yorkshire Terriers will never leave your side. Nursing students have an incredible innate passion for helping others and will never rest until those they care for are helped. If you have a Yorki, you'll always have a loyal friend, and if you know a nursing student, you'll have the same!

10. Undecided - American Pit Bull Terriers

You don't know what's going on, you're really just chilling. You probably sometimes feel like you have a misconception surrounding you, but you're really just trying to figure it all out!

No Matter How Challenging School Gets, You Have To Put Your Health First — A Degree Won't Mean Anything If You're Dead

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!
