Being in college and trying to discover how to be an adult can be pretty difficult, but also incredibly funny and awkward. If you have not seen Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt on Netflix yet, I would watch it asap! Somehow it sums up the "adulting" experience in a matter of (so far) only two seasons. It is probably one of the weirdest, funny, quirky, yet somehow completely relatable shows that I have ever seen.

1. When you're listening to your professor during lecture

Because let's be honest sometimes we just really do not know what they're saying. But we get pretty excited when we do.

2. When your friends are making plans but your bank account says you're not invited

Being an adult means newfound responsibilities, or in other words: a crap ton of bills to pay.

3. When your friends ask why you can't go out to eat with them

There are always those friends who are a little better off than you. Try not to get too offended when they ask you why you can never go out to eat.

4. When your professor asks you a question in class but you were half asleep

Maybe you shouldn't have pulled that all nighter, or maybe you just need a lot more coffee.

5.When you're reading for your classes

The language of academia is so much fancier than our regular lingo. LOL OMG.

6. When you have zero motivation to do your homework

You try doing three essays in one day Geena Davis. It's not fun, okay!?

7. When you thought you understood a concept and then your professor explains it

This was the entirety of math class for me. This makes total sense.... oh wait.

8. How APA formatting makes you cite your papers

As educated, collegiate students, we are required to back up our arguments with citations. But this is how it feels like when we present them.

9. When you're not sure you like your professor

There is always that one professor that you're not quite sure about. Maybe their teaching styles are just a little unconventional, but sometimes you just have to push through.

10. Finals week

This is basically what we refer to as hell week. Somehow we have to conjure up all of the knowledge from the past fifteen weeks and translate them into correct answers

College can definitely be a struggle. A lot of us are just trying to navigate our way through the adult world on top of going to class and studying hard. Sometimes we just have to sit back, relax and binge watch entire shows on Netflix. Lucky for you this show only has two seasons so far, so you still have time for homework!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
