Throughout the course of "Gilmore Girls," viewers have watched Rory go from a small high school freshman to a brilliant college graduate. We watched as she struggled and succeeded during her time at Yale.

We watched and admired all of the support her family and friends gave her. We even watched as she dropped out of college (something we sometimes wish we could do) and then started school again. Even though Rory seems to be an incredible genius, she goes through the same types of college experiences as everyone else. Here are a few examples of college life as told by the cast of "Gilmore Girls."

1. When you have to wake up for your 8 a.m.

2. When your professor writes something on the board and you have no idea what it means.

3. When you are too drunk to know what you are drinking.

4. When your test or essay gets pushed back.

5. How you feel as you wait in the Starbucks line.

6. When you are bored in lecture and try to find a way to get out.

7. When you find someone who hates a class or professor as much as you do.

8. When you need a friend to hold you up.

9. When you can't get up to go to class.

10. When you are excited to eat take out or non-cafeteria food.

11. When your professor asks you a question because you weren't paying attention.

12. Your goal for college.

13. Your daily mental breakdown.

14. How you feel every Monday.

15. When your professor assigns a group project.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
