College Life might not be what you expected

College.

Life.

College Life.

When students finally enter their freshman year of college they expect to be at parties every Friday and Saturday night, they expect to instantly have life-long friends and to finally have freedom. And for some people, it turns exactly like that.

And for others it hasn't.

For those of you to whom it hasn't, don't fret. College only started a week ago for most students in my state so relax you have 4 years to get yourself together.

But seriously, is college what you expected? Is it better or worse? Are you having fun? Or absolutely hating it?

For me, it's a love relationship so far because I have great friends, pretty great professors, small campus so it's easy for me to find my way around.

It's great to love your college and for it to be exactly what you expected.

And it's okay for college to be exactly not what you expected. If it's in a good way then that's great! You learn something new everyday and you might even enjoy yourself more because you've experienced this now.

If it's in a bad way then try to learn from it. Seek help if your really struggling. There's always counselors and professors and other staff to help you with your needs. And if that doesn't work then sadly you might want to consider transferring. It might just be the certain college that your in.

I hope you guys find your way this year and experience great and fun things!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
