As college students, we all experience similar moments that bind us together. We are a culture of people that understand the frustrations, and the fun, of college life. What better way to depict our emotions than through the universal, relatable, and adorable 6 year-old face of Gavin, the prevailing child meme star of the internet. And if you don't know who I'm talking about, you're about to find out - and fall in love.

1. When you just left for class and you find out it's cancelled.

3. When your professors says "the final will be cumulative."

4. When you get to class and someone is sitting in "your" seat.

5. Every morning before class in the winter.

6. When you fail a quiz and you want to see if the people around you did as bad.

9. When you only studied 30 minutes before the exam and end up getting an A.

10. When all your friends are talking about the care packages they get from their parents and you have yet to get even one.

11. When you walk into the party and see the quiet kid from class getting lit.

12. When you get out of class only to find it's raining.

13. When you pulled an all-nighter and someone tries having a conversation with you.

14. When you find the Instagram of the person that's been flirting with you in class and in their bio is "1-10-14 forever."

15. Deleting your snapchat story the next morning like:

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?
