Some people say that high school will be the best years of our life, I really disagree. Here are 10 reasons why college is better than high school:

1. If your are dorming, your parents are breathing less down your neck

Moms just a phone call away instead of two steps

2. You get to control what classes you take

I can take art instead of Spanish? YES

I can take a yoga class for credit? YES

(Besides some of the major requirements)

3. You get to control what time your classes are

Morning person --> Morning Classes

Night Person --> Night Classes

Want more breaks in between spread them out.

Want a day off?

I don't see issues here.

4. Making better friends

Sorry, high school friends, I hated you all. Backstabbing and drama is still in college but its a little bit less.

5. You can start fresh

Unless you are close to your hometown, you pretty much have no idea where, what or who is around you. It's fun to try new things.

6. Professors are less into your business

Unless you really look like you've been hit by a car, Your professors usually don't become too much annoyance in questioning your personal life.

7. Sex is normal

Hickie there, noises here, dirty words, kisses.

No one bats an eye, less dirty looks by your peers.

8. NAPS

Couldn't nap in high school if i tried. Now that I'm in college, I nap everywhere.

9. LAPTOPS

I have not been in a school where laptops were allowed.

Pretty sure the professors can't even tell you aren't taking notes half of the time.

10. More outdoor time

My campus has a lot of grassy space, so I always take advantage of laying outside with a sheet on the ground. In high school, getting fresh air wasn't until the end of the day.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
