College graduation.
Many people have an idea of what they want to do or where they want to go. But many of us don't.
I thought I knew what I wanted to do after college, but the reality is college does not prepare you for the after. You can go to grad school or you can jump into a carreer. Or you can even do what I'm doing, bumming it until you figure it out!
There are many different jobs that I could get with my degree... if I have experience. So what am I to do in the mean time?
A lot of people do not realize how hard it is to get a job right out of college. Most people continue in their retail or fast food job for years after they earn a bachelor's degree.
It has been said that many people don't ever end up making as much money that they spent on their college education, yet a college degree is considered required for everything.
So while some have it figured out, there's people like me. Struggling to find a job with a college degree. Struggling to find an internship and maintain my part time in order to get experience in order to use my college degree.
Does that make sense? Does it sound fair.
Just a little reality about what college graduation is actually like.
It sucks.
