One of the most unfortunate things about today's society is the stigma placed around sex, especially towards women. Women are not allowed to talk about sex in public and get shamed for doing literally anything related to sex—except when a guy wants to hook up with them.
Here's the thing, ladies, you should NEVER feel ashamed for being a sexual being or for doing anything related to sex, including the following:
1. Getting tested for an STD.
This is the SAFEST thing you can do. Having an STD can lead to a lot of issues, so hold your head high and get it done. No one should shame you for taking care of your health.
2. Picking up your free condoms at the health center.
Um, free stuff is amazing. What's even more amazing? Free protection for the sex you're having. Having safe sex is the best way to go and if you can have safe sex for free, there's no reason for you to be ashamed of picking up your condoms and going. Carry 'em with pride, girlfriend.
3. Asking for something in the bedroom.
You are allowed to have wants. You are allowed to have needs. The guy you're hooking up with isn't afraid to ask you to give him a blowjob or get on top or whatever, so you don't need to fear asking for something. This is key for you to have a good time!
4. Wanting to use a condom during sex.
Once again, using protection is the best way to go. You should not have any fear taking a moment to ask your partner to use a condom. Bring one yourself if you have even the slightest hint of doubt that they won't have one so they don't have an excuse otherwise. No glove, no love, no shame.
5. Masturbating.
Guys clearly don't have any shame announcing to the world that they masturbate, so a woman shouldn't either. You have needs, and if you want to take to yourself to get it done, do it!
6. Purchasing Plan B.
So, you need to go buy Plan B. Don't sweat it, gf! It happens and there's no reason to feel awkward or ashamed. Plan B is soooo much cheaper than a baby, okay.
7. SAYING NO.
You. Are. Allowed. To. Say. No. You can say no to everything, or just say no to some things. Even if you're usually down for let's say, giving a blow job, you can decide one day you don't want to for any reason and that's NOTHING to be ashamed about! If the guy has a problem with it, dump his ass sis.
8. Hooking up with a bunch of people.
You shouldn't hang your head in fear of sharing your number. Whether you've slept with no people, three people, twelve people, or two hundred people, that's YOUR business. Do your thing, even if your thing consists of hooking up with a bunch of people.
9. Deciding not to shave your lady parts, or any parts.
If you wanna let it grow it, let it grow sister.
10. Buying sex toys.
You know that insane amount of awkward, shameful energy that just overcomes you when you walk in a sex store looking for your next purchase? Yeah, drop that shit. Whoever is working there is NOT judging you at all (odds are they've seen much worse and much, much crazier) so have no shame in making the purchases that will just make your sex life so, so much better.
11. Having a fetish.
No shame in your game, no matter what your game involves.
12. Openly talking about sex.
Listen. The stigma and uncomfortableness about talking about sex is so dumb. If you want to talk about sex, you shouldn't feel uncomfortable. Being open is a-okay.
13. Visiting your gyno.
Um, once again, you're just taking care of your health. Kudos to you for being responsible!
14. How your body looks or smells during sex.
You shouldn't feel ashamed of whatever rolls you may have on your stomach, or the freckles on your back, or how you smell *down there* during sex. Hold yourself with confidence and do the damn thing, if he can't handle a couple fat rolls he clearly shouldn't be having sex.
15. Taking (and sending!) nudes.
If you want to send a thirst trap to a bunch of people on Snapchat, DO IT! You look bomb AF, anyways.
