College girls are often running low on money, but it doesn't stop us from buying the following things...

1. Coffee

Despite the fact the fact that we have a Keurig, and plenty of pods for said Keurig, we still feel the need to try the newest fancy fall coffee drink out there.

2. Pizza

Losing all motivation to make anything else leads to pizza. The only problem is, the cost of a full-size pizza is hefty af.

3. Kombucha

Cheers to a $3+ bottled drink!

4. Chick-fil-A

Not the cheapest of chicken, but it gets us every time.

5. Halo Top

$5 a pint, yo.

6. Adding avocado or guacamole to anything

Whether it's Subway or Chipotle, the avocado craze never ends. Even though it's an extra 2 bucks :/

7. Whipped cream

Why you gotta do this to us, Tim Hortons?

8. Victoria's Secret underwear

The whole "7 for $27" thing never gets old.

9. New workout clothes

Even if Lululemon isn't your thing, you're bound to find a brand you're hooked on. What do they all have in common? TOO. EXPENSIVE.

10. Every "Soft & Sexy" shirt out there

Gotta have 'em. Otherwise you'll be hard and frumpy.

11. Acrylic nails

Once in a while, we have to get them. $30 to ruin your nails :/

12. The newest Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadow palette

It's somehow a necessity, even if you'll only use two colors.

13. Micellar water

This fancy stuff to take your makeup off costs way more than any other makeup remover.

14. Hulu

It's awesome, but to be honest, I still use Netflix more.

15. $100 or more on a trip to the hair salon

Do we want a balayage? Yes. Can we really afford it? No.

16. Candles

This is especially relevant if you live the dorms and aren't even allowed to have candles :/

17.Girly books

The perfect complement to some coffee!

18. Flannels

Oh so cozy!!!

19. Thrifted band T-shirts

Or is just me?

20. Platform sneakers

Can a gal really ever have too many?

21. Glasses to drink out of that are actually glass

Lol, we're irresponsible and will just break them anyways.

22. Anything related to our sorority

Our excuse to buy every little thing is that it's to represent our house.

23. Throw pillows

We're just gonna "throw" them anyways so...

24. Dresses

Especially for formal--you know you could definitely wear a dress you've worn before, but you don't because there's just so many other ones out there.

25. Tattoos

I looooove them! Favorite thing ever! But at least $50 for even the tiniest ones :(

26. Juul pods

I don't have a Juul, but I imagine it gets price-y for those who do!

27. Face masks

Perfect way way to spend a gal night.

28. Water bottles

If you have a tendency to lose your water bottles a lot, this is an even bigger issue.

29. Waxing

Brows need to be fleeky!

30. Alcohol

For the 21+ college girls, opportunity is around every corner.

Who can relate? Yeah, me too. Want to order pizza tonight?

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
