To The College Girl Looking For Her Happily Ever After

"Author of the moment do I end up happy?"

It's sometimes hard for this generation to really truly find their person (as "Grey's Anatomy" would put it). I still have yet to find my person but maybe he's already reading this and that's okay. Someday I am going to look back at this article and remember all of the crazy memories that come to mind when writing this. But that to me is fine, I want to be able to look back on this and to make an impact.

I want college girls to know that its okay for them to wait on their happily ever after. As cheesy as it may sound, good things come to those who wait.

I wholeheartedly believe this is true for all of us girls despite what we really think will happen in our lives. I think that there's no way to tell if the guy that we are just friends with now will be our happily ever after. Heck, there's no way to tell if the guy we haven't even met yet will be our happily ever after.

This time in our lives in college is a time for growing and learning about ourselves. Yes, it would be nice to have someone to grow, learn, and love during this time.

But it may not happen right now and that's okay. If your prince charming does happen to meet you during your time in college, there is nothing wrong with that either. It's also easy to forget that we are not going to be on the same happily ever after pace as each other.

Love just has a way of making its way into our lives at different times, and we have to be willing to let it in when its right.

So, when you leave this article, remember this quote to live by:

"You deserve love and you'll get it"

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
