College is the time where you grow as a person and learn from the mistakes you made in high school. It’s the time where you get to experience things you never thought of when in high school. You become an adult and learn how to live by yourself, independently.
This all wouldn’t be possible without the friends you make in college.
The best years of your life.
You find a way to see each other every single day, whether that be going to the dining hall, in your dorm room, or on facetime. You start to believe that you wouldn’t be able to survive the college life without them.
Even though you only met them months or a couple years ago, you feel comfortable with them, so much so it feels like you have known them your whole life.
They see you at your worst and they see you at your best.
Willing to do whatever it takes to make sure you are happy, to put a smile on your face. Whether that’s sitting in your bed watching your favorite episode of "The Office," walking to go get ice cream on an ever so rare warm day, or meeting at your favorite coffee shop to cram for an exam, they will go the extra mile for you.
They know so much about you, they become less like friends and more like family.
Knowing your favorite and least favorite foods, your pet peeves, and all of the names of your best friends from back home. You are sad to leave them for breaks and get excited at the thought of going back to see them again.
They have made you a better person and except you for who you are, flaws and all. It’s hard to thank them for everything they have done for you in such a short period of time. Seeing a simple smile on their face after buying them coffee can suffice.
The future is promising and with these people by your side expect more laughter, incredible memories, and stories to reminisce about.
