In a nutshell:

1. Not making eye contact with that cute guy over there because you might actually have to talk to him

2. Disappearing for 3-4 days at a time after being around too many people

3. Not making any new friends until the spring semester

4. Avoiding any and every social event (unless you’re in some sort of club so you’re obligated to be there)

5. Going for walks by yourself in between classes

6. Sitting in your car alone just listening to music and eating snacks

7. Having a crush on the guy who sits next to you but never acknowledging him directly

8. Finally working up the courage to text the guy you like but only under the guise of needing to borrow his notes or textbook

9. Eating alone

10. Noticing a lot of things but never saying anything

11. Being the designated writer / note taker for group projects

12. Downloading tinder as a joke but then instantly loving and hating it

13. Feeling kinda like a badass because no one has you figured out

14. Staying up until 2 even though you have a class at 8:15 in the morning

15. Talking more to professors than other students

16. Writing a list of what college has been like because you’re an introvert (...well, yea.)

17. Trying to be more social but then feeling exhausted

18. Contemplating everything

19. Being awkward af

20. Coming to terms with the fact that you are who you are and that’s okay

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
