After Week 13 of college football, we are entering rivalry week with much at stake for several teams. With so much at stake, this could create a lot of chaos for the College Football Playoff Committee.
Here are a few predictions for rivalry games this weekend:
Auburn at Alabama
This is an intense rivalry game in which Alabama's perfect season could possibly be spoiled. Both teams are coming off of big wins in Week 13 but Auburn is looking to possibly upset Alabama. If Alabama loses to Auburn, it is possible that they could drop in the CFP rankings. Ultimately, I think Alabama will cruise past Auburn and end up in the CFP championship.
Michigan vs. Ohio State
Michigan travels to Columbus, Ohio to take on Ohio State. The winner of this game will have a spot in the CFP and the loser may be left out. Because of Ohio State's lost to Penn State, it could possibly affect Ohio State's position in the CFP rankings. This game is a "toss up" but I think Ohio State will win because of the home field advantage. I also believe Ohio State will advance to the CFP championship and take on Alabama.
Washington vs. Washington State
Washington is looking to punch their ticket into the CFP but has to go through Washington State. The winner of this game clinches the Pac-12 North title and will play in the Pac-12 Championship game. I predict Washington to win in a close game to eventually make an appearance in the CFP.
Here are my predictions for the CFP Championship:
College Football Playoff:
Alabama vs. Washington- Alabama wins by 20+ points.
Ohio State vs. Clemson- Ohio State wins by 7 points.
College Football Championship:
Alabama vs. Ohio State- Ohio State wins by 4 points.
