Why Football Season Is The Best Season

I chose to go to a big southern university for the sole purpose of getting to experience the legend that is SEC football. As I enter into my third football season as s student at the University of Georgia, not a day goes by where I regret my decision.

Nothing compares to a Saturday in Athens, Georgia. Entering Sanford Stadium is nothing short of a religious experience and hearing a collective roar from the crowd as the Georgia Bulldogs score a touchdown will give you goosebumps. It is practically indescribable to feel an entire school of 35,00 students rally behind one team. Despite our differences as a student body, where we come from, or what we believe in, we come together to cheer on the Dawgs on game day. Who would've thought that football would be the thing to bring us all together.

Whether you are a die hard Dawgs fan or someone who's knowledge of football is slim to none, you can't deny the overwhelming presence this sport has. Game days as a student at the University of Georgia is something every student will cherish well past their time here, the true meaning of what it means to bleed red and black.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
