College Fall Break As Told By The Office

It's called a "break", but we all know that we have so much work that we need to be doing during that time.

Fall break in college is completely different than fall break in high school. In high school you get a whole week and you typically do not have to worry about doing any homework all week. Most of that reason being because your teachers made things due before the break because they knew when you came back you would not remember any of the lessons. However, in college, fall break is a whopping two day break where you think you will be able to relax and not have to worry about the hustle and bustle of schoolwork, but really the entire break you are just thinking about all the work you should be doing that is due in a few days. Since most people thoroughly enjoy The Office and its dry humor (myself included), here is a breakdown of the many emotions college students experience during fall break.

That feeling you get after you attend your last class and your break has officially started

You finally get home, or wherever you are going for break, and you can't help but want to party because you don't have to do anything tomorrow

But then it hits you... you won't be with your friends for the next few days, so you instantly become lonely

Suddenly you come to your senses and realize that it's only a few days without each other, so for right now you're just enjoying your break

And then it is here.... you only have one day left of break and you remember all the work you have to do that you should have been doing this whole time

And then you get mad at yourself because as much as you wanted to do 'nothing' for break, you realize that you have literally done NOTHING....

It is the day before you have to go back to class and you realize you have a lot more to do than you actually thought you did

You start your homework and quickly realize you have a speech, an exam, and a paper that is due tomorrow... and you could have sworn that it was not due for another week

About an hour into your homework process you realize that you have actually been on social media the whole time and you just can not force yourself to do actual work

6 hours in....

You can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and you are almost done with everything you have to do

You can not believe it... even with all the doubts and expectations to fail, you are finally done... (for tonight at least)

Now fall break is over and even though you had a great time doing nothing, it is time for the stress of classes to start back up again

And without any warning, the next day of classes hits you like a ton of bricks...

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
