College is a huge transition for anyone whether they want to admit it or not. People from diverse backgrounds come together to share ideas, living space, and memories. Here are the 18 people you are bound to meet while you're there.

1. The athlete

Giphy

You will barely see this person outside of classes, but you will be there to support them at every game! You’ll be the loudest one in the stands!

2. The ladies man

Giphy

This guy will have all the girls on campus in love with him, and all their mothers.

3. The world traveler

Giphy

Did you know they went abroad? Of course you do. Are you jealous? A little bit.

4. The one who never studies but still gets As

Giphy

You literally will never seen them studying, but somehow they still make insanely good grades.

5. The rich one

Giphy

Craving Chinese food on a Sunday night? This person will lend you some money to make sure you’re not starving while living that poor college life.

6. The jokester

Giphy

Anytime you’re down you can always go to them for a nice pick me up even if they are a little down too.

7. The badass feminist

Giphy

This is someone who isn’t afraid to stand up for what’s right and will be one of the leading motivators.

8. The partier

Giphy

Don’t even bother going into their room after 9pm on the weekends because they probably won’t be there. They also make sure that they have the hangout room during the week.

9. The roommate

Giphy

You wouldn’t even be friends if you weren’t already friends with their roommate. However, you couldn’t imagine your life without them now.

10. The friend you never saw coming

Giphy

You will meet in the most random way, but they will become one of your closest friends.

11. The child in a grown up body

Giphy

Have you ever seen a 19 year old who looks like they can easily pass for 24? Well, you will.

12. The hometown lover

Giphy

Their hometown is a point of pride for them. You will know their favorite spots in town before even visiting.

13. The sheltered one

Giphy

They will be a little shy and sheltered coming into college, but the new environment will open their eyes to a lot.

14. The sweetheart

Giphy

This person is someone who is always there to listen to any problem you have, will give you great hugs, and always will put others before them self.

15 and 16. The couple

Giphy

They will be your college couple goals! You may see them apart a few times, but they are so good together that you won’t even mind.

17. The best friend

Giphy

This will be the person that your soul finds. The person who will one day be at your wedding and see your kids. Don’t let this person go.

18. The true you

Giphy

College is a time to learn about yourself without having your past define your relationships. No one knows anything about your past and you can truly be yourself.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…
