The PERFECT Summer Bucket List for college students

Coming home from universities all over the country is hands down one of the best times of the year because of the break from school, duh. While most college students spend their summers working, they have days off and a lot of them don't know what to do with their free time; other than catch up on sleep of course.

Here's a list of activities that are cheap and fun to make this summer one to remember as we head back to reality in September.

1. Go to an MLB baseball game

I went to a Cubs vs. Braves game and got bleacher seats five rows up for 20 dollars. You can swing that, and it'll be the time of your life.

2. Cook dinner for your family

3. Take a trip to one of the drive in movies around your town.

You can get dollar popcorn and candy from a store, and drinks at a gas station. Pop your trunk up with a bed of blankets and pillows and enjoy your time with friends or a significant other.

4. Go to the zoo

Most zoo's have student discounts and are only 10-30 bucks a person.

5. Read an entire book or even an entire book series if you're feeling up to it.

6. Travel to a place you have never been.

7. Go paint balling/ outdoor laser tagging or go karting.

8. Make homemade popsicles.

9. Visit your college friends.

10. Make a scrapbook of everything you've overcome the past year.

11. Have a bonfire.

12. Visit a pet store.

13. Get up early and watch the sunrise, or make time to watch the sunset.

14. Attend a musical or play at your local theatre.

15. Learn to enjoy time unplugged from the world and alone.

16. Climb a mountain, or if that seems too intimidating, climb a sand dune.

17. Visit a State park.

18. Go to a concert.

There is nothing that a good song an friends can't fix.

19. Volunteer a day of your time.

20. Eat from a food truck.

21. Go to the beach.

22. Go to the farmers market.

Bonus if you find food to cook for a meal later in the day.

23. Catch a fish.

24. Take an insane amount of pictures.

25. Try something brand new, whether that be food or an experience.

26. Binge watch a Netflix TV show.

27. Go on a family vacation.

28. Have a picnic with friends.

29. Go to a lake.

30. Go on a road trip with friends.

31. Reunite with old friends.

32. Travel to a big city around you and be a tourist for a day.

33. Splurge on something you have wanted for a LOOOONG time.

34. Host a party.

35. Do something spontaneous like getting a tattoo or new piercing.

36. Go to an amusement park.

37. Go camping.

38. Have a genuine sleepover with your friends.

39. Enjoy your time surrounded by people who love you.

40. Create your own bucket list!

A lot of the activities on this list are good experiences alone, but add a positive attitude and outlook on life and realize that this summer is only going to be around for so long will make the overall adventure so much more exhilarating. I encourage you to think about that as you go through everyday!

Happy Summer!

Creating your schedule for the upcoming semester can be an exciting process. You have the control to decide if you want to have class two-days a week or five-days a week. You get to check things off of your requirement checklist. It's an opportunity for a fresh start with new classes (which you tell yourself you'll never skip.) This process, which always starts out so optimistic, can get frustrating really quickly. Here are 25 thoughts you have when registering for classes.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

In the 12 years since it went off the air, "Friends" continues to be adored by millions. The show that gave generations unrealistic expectations about love (or should I say lobsters?) and New York City apartments had a charming cast of characters that everyone could relate to at some point or another. Here are 17 times Ross, Monica, Joey, Chandler, Phoebe and Rachel accurately described life.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
