College is a place where you are going to meet the most important people in your life. You cannot do this whole college thing on your own, so it is important to have that support system standing behind you. For me, it was my roommate. We met before freshman year and become best friends from there. From the early morning math class — I actually dropped out and left her all alone — to the late night movie nights, our friendship has grown to what it is today. I know I never did it enough when we lived together, but now is my time to thank her for all that she did.

To my college best friend,

1. Thank you, for being my partner in crime

In the nine months we spent together, we basically became sisters from other misters. You accepted all of my weirdness and quirks as well as stood by my side no matter what.

2. Thank you, for the daily pep talks

Whether it be getting up for our 8 a.m. classes, acing a huge exam, or going to an interview, you were always there to hype me up and keep me in check.

3. Thank you, for always being up to get milkshakes

The amount of ice cream we consumed in the last nine months is unhealthy. But, thank you for being down to grab a milkshake no matter the time of day.

4. Thank you, for being unapologetically real with me

If it wasn't for you, I would have worn some strange outfits or skipped my 8 a.m. class too many times to count. I appreciate you always telling me how it is and what I need to do.

5. Thank you, for taking time out of your day to be interested in mine

I know I complained countless times about teachers, classmates, or anything else that annoyed me throughout the day. It meant more than you will ever know to have you ask me as soon as I came back from class to see what happened and how my day went.

6. Thank you, for laughing with me and at me

When you and your bestie can appreciate humor and laugh together, you know your time with each other will always be fun. Thank you for letting me share memes and tag you in dumb but funny videos. After all, what is a friendship without laughter? Life isn't perfect all of the time, but you also can't take everything too seriously.

7. And, thank you, for being a part of my family

Whether it was celebrating my birthday or going to dinner with my parents, thank you for always tagging along with me. From the long drives home to the late night dinners with the fam, you are always welcome in my home. You are a part of the Schnulle Clan for life.

In the end. I am more than thankful to have you be a part of my life. You mean the world to me and just know I always have you back.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
