When I left for college, I hoped I'd get to explore Nashville, take spontaneous road trips, maybe meet a couple of famous people and of course make a few friends. What I didn't expect, though, was to meet a group of girls who would bring me closer than ever to my faith and change my life for the better.
My first semester of college looked a whole lot different in my head than the true reality of it. I was so caught up with the idea of college and what it was "supposed" to look like that I found myself emotional whenever I'd be in my room on a Friday night. College is a uniquely fun experience, but let's face it, college looks different for everyone. Some of my hometown friends often say I'm not getting the full college experience, but actually, I'm a getting the best dang college experience ever.
My crazy college experience is all thanks to five girls. Girls that I have no doubt came into my life for a reason.
These aren't your typical type of girlfriends. These are girls who continuously put others before themselves and radiate Jesus. They can immediately walk into a room and change the entire mood just with their smile. No they aren't perfect, but they're perfect for my life. They laugh at all my stupid jokes, encourage my awful dance moves and support me with my busy schedule.
I didn't know how true that saying "you'll find your bridesmaids in college" was until these beautiful, kind and humble ladies came into my life. They show me kindness in ways unimaginable. I'm brought nothing but joy when I'm in their presence, and most importantly, they push me to be the best possible version of myself.
Friends like mine don't come around often. Their friendship is rare, and because of that, I'll cherish it forever. The relationship we have formed over only a short amount of time is a true work of God. He places people in our lives for different reasons, but I know He placed each 5 of my best friends in my life to indulge in one another's gifts and spread His goodness to all.
Amy, Emilee, Bailey, Caroline and Abby - y'all are greatest gift Lipscomb has brought me yet, and I'll forever be thankful for your friendship.
