As the school year is about to start once again, there can be some mixed feelings from the impending school year. College is a wonderful and exciting place, possibly the best four years of your life. I guarantee there will be ups, down, and crazy stories that will stay with you for the rest of your life. To help describe some of the wild events and ever-changing emotions are the seven dwarves from "Snow White."

1. Doc

First and foremost, college is where you come to pursue your future career. You learn to become a leader and how to apply your newly gained skills and talents to everything you do. Some people want to be doctors, lawyers, teachers, ministers and so on. It is important to remember this when the other demands of college are pulling you in a million ways. You're going to do life-changing things, let nothing get in the way of your dream.

2. Grumpy

College can have several reasons to be grumpy: having 8 a.m. classes, risking all-nighters, taking finals, having never-ending hunger, being broke, etc. Yet, it is wise to realize that these are just a part of college life and you can choose to be happy. Just take a day and watch Netflix, or eat a Snickers; you're not you when you're hungry.

3. Bashful

College is a time where you meet several various types of people. This can make anyone a little bashful, especially when you don't know anyone. Don't worry, your squad will show up soon enough.

4. Sneezy

At one point or another, you will get sick. Whether it's homesick, or the flu, we all have to experience feeling bad while at school. This means we have to start being adults and set up our own appointment with a doctor - totally frightening, I know. However, you'll feel much better much sooner if you just face the issue right away.

5. Sleepy

Face it, college is tiring. After hundreds of essays and dozens of study sessions, you're ready for a 48 hour nap. However, college can cause you to be tired for good reasons. Late night roommate conversations, 4 a.m. Taco Bell adventures, and unforgettable hangouts are all just some of the wonderful memories you'll keep with you. Also, naps are always a good thing throughout the day.

6. Dopey

For some people, college is a place where they try new things. College really breaks people out of their shell and sometimes Bashful can turn into Dopey really fast. Whatever you do, if you choose to, be safe and stay smart. Remember Doc and what you came to college for, which is always your first priority and main goal.

7. Happy

No matter how your four years in college will make you feel, I hope you come away feeling happy. You finally have the power to change the way things are for you and the freedom to choose your future. Just remember that no matter what you do in life, do it cheerfully whistling, "Hi-ho! Hi-ho! It's off to work we go!"

By coming familiar with the seven dwarves, you can make it through the trials and triumphs of college, leading you into a happily ever after.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
