For many, the Academy Awards is an extremely momentous and emotional time of the year; one in which the whole family gathers around the TV for four hours, and gawks over glamorous dresses, and heartfelt acceptance speeches. It's not difficult to feel envious of these celebrities, until you realize that your daily struggles as a college student may not be so different from their Oscar experience after all.

2. When you show up to lecture 30 minutes late and everyone's staring.

3. When someone asks you if you've started studying for the midterm yet.

4. How you think your first date party is going to look like.

5. What it actually looks like.

6. When you've been reading Buzzfeed articles all class, and the Professor asks you to answer the question.

7. When you run into that girl who sent you her notes last quarter...but you can't remember her name.

8. When your roommate comes home from the party, and she's sober.
