The 2000s blessed us with classic tv shows, Razr flip phones, Amanda Bynes and Lindsay Lohan (pre crazy era), and quite possibly the best way to ever describe college. From Sum 41 to Nelly, hits from the 2000s just really get us college kids.

“Hi, I was sick so I missed the quiz last week, is there any way I can make it up?"

2. When everything's going wrong and you have

but a solution ain't one

3. When you see free stuff being handed out and you're just like


4. When your teacher is strict about cell phones and yours goes off in class


5. When you understood the examples in class and then go to take your exam


6. When you told yourself the last time you went out the night before a quiz that you'd never do it again, and here you are..


7. When that creepy/annoying guy comes up to you at the bar and all you want to say is


8. When you just want to be rich and living in

but you're a broke af college student

9. When you fail a class that's required for your major


10. When you spend hours studying for an exam and get a 60%


11. When you're 7 shots in and there's no turning back

12. "Hey! What are you doing this weekend?"

13. Anytime a college kid is without alcohol or coffee

15. When you finally realize you deserve better than the boy you've been talking to

16. When life sucks and you just want to call your mom but

17. When you see a dog on campus

18. The only pickup line that works in college

19. Parents weekend got all the frat guys like

20. When Starbucks messes up your order

21. Trying to get your GPA up at the end of the semester

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself?
