College As Told By 'Dance Moms'

Girl, save those tears for your pillow.

College As Told By 'Dance Moms'

Love her or hate her, Abby Lee Miller is the anti to our millennial. She's the counter to the entitlement generation today and thinks that there's no better way to get an 8-year-old to point her feet and perfect her turn out than to yell at her mother's incompetent sewing skills. As a religious viewer, I've begun to realize that college is much more like the Pittsburgh dance studio than I'd like to admit, and below is a list of times when the dance moms, girls and Abby summed up how we're feeling.

When you get your syllabus on day one and realize college is nothing like the movies.

When someone tells you what you did last night.

When you realize the Freshman 15 is real.

When you have three exams in one day.

When you post a pic in "prime Instagram time" and someone calls you out on it.

When the boy from two weekends ago won't stop texting you.

When you actually dress up for class and are totally feelin' yourself.

When your professors "expect" you to "study" the full 20 hours outside the classroom... because we all obviously have time for that.

When you witness some suspect things going down late night.

When someone asks you what you're going to do after graduation and you have to smile through the pain of even thinking about that.

When you see a freshman following in your footsteps... and you feel both happy and sad for her.

When your stressed out to a new level that your dreams and ambitions plummet.

When you hit the club and you think it's a good idea to dance.

When fall/winter/spring break is so close yet so far.

When it's Parents Weekend freshman year, and you're still pretending to be the perfect child they sent away just weeks ago.

When you see a girl swoop in and steal the guy you've been talking to.

And, most importantly, when you find your forever friends.

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

two women enjoying confetti

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.
