“The Office” is filled with relatable characters and memorable lines that you’ll be quoting long after your last Netflix binge. Yes, we all want to associate ourselves with our favorite characters (Jim and Pam, obviously), but it’s time to face the facts. No one understands college life like Creed Bratton. Arguably the most underrated character, Creed is so much more than the crazy old guy who constantly makes out of context and slightly insane remarks. Shockingly enough, it turns out he completely understands your college struggle. From stressful classes and awkward social encounters, Creed has the proper response to it all.
He understands how you feel halfway through second semester. Okay let's be honest, more like the first week of second semester.
And he gets your undeniable need to celebrate when you get an A on the test that you were so sure you failed.
He knows who to thank when FAFSA miraculously comes through for you and gives you like $2.00.
But he also understands the crippling depression that follows every time you check your bank account.
And the panic that sets in when you truly just can't pick a major to save your life.
He knows how uncomfortable it is to try to sound cool when you ask your new college friends to hang out.
And knows what you're thinking when your new friend inevitably posts a picture on Facebook that you can't even remember taking.
He understands that it's impossible to play it cool when your class crush sits next to you and talks to you.
And he actually says what you're dying to scream anytime that one kid reminds the professor of the homework you forgot to do.
He knows the only proper way to react when you realize you have three exams and four papers due tomorrow.
And when the semester comes to an end, he definitely prepares for finals in the most realistic way possible.
Even throughout all the stress and craziness of college, Creed knows how you really feel about it.
Whether you want to admit it or not, we're all just Creeds trying to appear sane during a time that makes us crazy. We might as well just embrace it.
