College: As Told By Chandler Bing

College. What a time to be alive.

No, seriously. What a freaking time to be alive. One minute, it's the time of your life. You're having a fiesta with your amigas. The next minute you're googling careers that don't require a degree.

It's something else, y'all. Who better to tell the tale of college than Chandler Bing?

Some days you never want to graduate. College has got to be the best decision you've ever made, right?

Then there's the other days, when you have no freaking clue what you're even going to college for.

But one day, you finally decide on a major... until you have a mid-college crisis and want to change majors again but know it's too late and your parents will kill you.

Then about the time you're a junior, you get over it, right? Decide that you're happy with your major and all that good stuff. Until you have that class. That one dang class. The one that makes you question your entire existence as a human being. We all have that class.

\

And every time you have a test (aka self-esteem slaughtering session) you have to have a pep talk with yourself before looking at your grade.

But you survive and you're really proud of that C on your transcript even though you would've cried like a hungry baby over a C in high school.

Then you're in your senior year. Senior year is supposed to be the easiest, right?

Now not only are you worried about school, but you're worried about life and your future. Things like dying alone.

You get over it and start accepting the fact that you've kind of let yourself go and the stress of the past four years has done some damage and it's going to take a special human to love you at this point.

So then you start worrying about things like graduating. Only to realize that no one really graduates in four years and you'll be joining the fifth year club.

So you survive, whatever. It's fine. What's another $50,000 in debt? Okay. So year five. Now you're trying to get your life together. Trying to find a potential future husband.

You're always dealing with the "when are you actually going to graduate?" people.

And every single day is filled with stress, assignments, stress, degree audits, stress, procrastination, stress, a little bit of fun, and some more stress.

Then one day you actually graduate. I guess. Stay tuned.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
