I think I speak for most college students when I say that Arthur is our favorite childhood aardvark. What a lot of people tend to forget about this show is how utterly honest and relatable it was. Being in college is a unique and weird stage in our lives, and it is very difficult to describe many of the moments we experience daily, thankfully Arthur and his friends can make summarizing this time a little bit easier.
When we leave for college.
When you realize your roommate doesn't know how to do dishes.
When your parents don't care because they did your dishes your whole life.
So you handled the situation yourself in a totally mature and reasonable way...
When class gets out and you take full advantage of that required meal plan.
Then your healthy friend reminds you that just because they have endless fries, doesn't mean you have to eat them.
You also respond to their criticism in a mature and responsible way because you are an adult.
When the semester ends and you see your final grades.
When your parents tell you that if you got a bad grade because your teacher didn't like you, you should talk to them.
When you are a week into class and still haven't gotten your textbook.
When your professor tells you that laptops aren't allowed in class.
When your professor asks why you are in their class and the reason is because it is a core class and you have to be.
But no matter how frustrating college is, it definitely beats the real world.
